Home, God and Cancer...

well, dreams really do come true.

i received some good news that i wanted to share with you this week.  our house was selected to be on this year's holiday home tour to benefit the wellness community, an organization that offers free support for those living with cancer.

to use our home for charity is a dream come true.
and to use it for a cancer charity?
well, it doesn't get any better than that.

so the first week of september i'll be getting out our christmas decorations and decorating the dining room.  (they're sending a photographer over to shoot it for their brochure).  i've already had fun visualizing what i will do at each place setting.  i can promise you this.  everyone who walks through our doors that weekend will know whose birthday we celebrate on december 25th.

i made a sign several years ago that sits by our front door.
 it reads,
cheerfully share your home
(1 peter 4:9)

come december 3rd, we'll be doing just that.  using our home to celebrate Jesus' birth in order to help those with cancer...
be still my heart.

so if you're in the neighborhood that weekend,
come on over.
the door will be wide open...
